Our branch in Donetsk

The history of Donetsk takes the beginning from a settlement. Juzovka which formation is connected to industrial development of territory. In 1869 the Joint-stock Novorossisk society on behalf of director - manager John Dzhejmsa Juza (Hughes) pawns bases for construction of a factory.The place has been chosen on coast river Kalmius. The settlement around of a factory began to be called Juzovski. He was built up chaotically.

There was only one street - the First line (nowadays street Artema). Juzovka shared on two parts: northern, so-called New Light (from the name of a market taking place there and a tavern) - now is territory of area Voroshilovskogo - and southern, actually factory. Dealers, handicraftsmen, officials lived in New Light and so forth.

The Central street and adjoining to it were built up 7-2-floor with apartment houses, buildings of shops, restaurants, hotels, various offices, banks; in territory of a market there was a set of taverns and taverns, a building of police administration, and also church. The city was founded in 1789 by the Order Of Count Potyomkin of Tavria as a shipbuilding center to become the major shipbuilding base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Since then, the craft and the skill of shipbuilders and engineers have grown constantly from generation to generation. Nikolayev is also a part of a unique nature and complex climate made up by the South Ukraine steppe and the warm Black Sea.
